Serpentinite Labs

Geoscience software, built for the field.

We turn field geology workflows into fast, reliable digital tools — from stratigraphic logging today to AI-assisted geoscience tomorrow.

G-Spyke

Beta

Stratigraphic columns, layer by layer.

Create stratigraphic columns directly at the outcrop. Log lithologies, thicknesses and structures, attach field photos, and geotag every section with GPS — all from your phone, fully offline.

G-Spyke is currently in beta — we are actively refining it with feedback from geologists in the field.

What's next

We are building the next generation of geoscience tools — made for the field, and powered by AI.

More field apps

In development

More field apps are on the way — mobile tools designed for real outcrop conditions: offline-first, quick to use with one hand, and built around the workflows geoscientists actually follow in the field.

AI for geoscience

In development

Intelligent assistance for interpreting field data: smarter logging, automatic summaries and insight extraction from your geological records.

Agentic workflows

In development

Autonomous agents that take on the repetitive parts of geological reporting and data management, so you can stay focused on the rocks.

About Serpentinite Labs

Serpentinite Labs is a geoscience software company. We started in the field, logging sections the hard way, and decided the tools geologists deserve should be as rugged and practical as the work itself.

Our first product, G-Spyke, brings stratigraphic logging to your pocket. It is the first step in a roadmap of products that combine solid geology with modern software — including AI and agentic systems designed for earth scientists.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about G-Spyke and Serpentinite Labs.

What is G-Spyke?

G-Spyke is a mobile app for geologists that lets you build stratigraphic columns directly in the field. You log each layer — lithology, thickness, structures and photos — as you measure it, and end up with a finished, structured stratigraphic column on your phone.

Does G-Spyke work offline?

Yes. G-Spyke is offline-first: it works with no signal at the outcrop. Your data is stored locally on your device, with no account required.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No. All your columns, layers, coordinates and photos stay on your device. We do not upload your data to any server, and you only share or export it when you choose to.

What platform is G-Spyke available on?

G-Spyke is coming to Android on the Google Play Store first, with an iOS version planned. It is currently in beta and being refined with feedback from geologists in the field.

How much does G-Spyke cost?

G-Spyke is free to download during its beta period. Follow the Google Play listing for updates.

Can I use G-Spyke to log outcrops and cores?

Yes. G-Spyke is designed for field geologists, sedimentologists and students logging outcrops, sections and cores — anywhere you need a fast, structured stratigraphic record.
